Get a 4.3-inch GPS with lifetime maps and traffic for $99.99

Just yesterday I was discussing the merits of standalone nav systems with my brother-in-law Charles (who's as savvy a cheapskate as there ever was--and I mean that in the best possible way). I said, "Hey, look, here's a GPS with lifetime traffic for under $100." His response: "I'd rather have lifetime maps."
Well, sir, how about both? Today only, Staples has the TomTom VIA 1405TM 4.3-inch GPS for $99.99 shipped (plus sales tax in most states). It comes with free traffic data and map updates for life.
The Via 1405TM is part of TomTom's newer line of nav systems. It's noteworthy for being extremely slim and looking a heck of a lot more stylish than the relatively dull, chunky models that preceded it.
The more practical specs include a 4.3-inch screen, advanced lane guidance, 7 million points of interest, and the option of fuel-efficient "Eco Routes."
Of course, the big attractions are the traffic and map updates, which could run you upwards of $100 annually if you decided to purchase them. Also, as with other TomTom GPSes, you can outfit the VIA 1405TM with a roster of amusing celebrity voices. (I continue to recommend Homer Simpson. It just never gets old!)
This model has a list price of $179.95, and the best deal I've seen elsewhere is around $129. So if you're in the market for a new GPS, this is one slick buy at $99.99. Remember: today only! (And, as always, while supplies last.)
Bonus deal: There's (almost) nothing I love better than free cloud storage. Pogoplug normally offers 5GB of it to all comers, but as part of an exclusive CNET promotion, you can get 10GB of Pogoplug cloud storage absolutely free. For life! You will need to sign up for a CNET membership if you haven't already.
