Happy birthday Pac-Man!

  2. This simple, maze-based arcade game revolved around a hungry yellow orb and four ghosts bent on killing him.

  3. Pac-Man has since become a 1980's cultural icon and one of the most influential games of all time. The character crosses many boundaries, appearing in the worlds of style...

  5. Food...
  6. Technology...
  7. And more.
  8. The game itself has generated millions of dollars in revenue over the years, a good chunk of which can be surely attributed to arcade-machine quarters in the 80s and 90s.
  9. Many would argue that no birthday wish could rival Google's playable Pac-Man doodle, released exactly two years ago to celebrate the game's 20th anniversary in 2010.
  10. Plenty of Tweeters paid homage to this classic game in their own ways, nonetheless.
