5 note-worthy new Chrome extensions that make Google Plus awesome ~ INFoRmATICS TeACH

I have been watching the growth of Google+ Chrome extensions in the Chrome Web Store. Every once in a while I could find a new extension that really rocks. Below are the top five recent extensions that I like the most:

By default, you can only view all posts by friends in all your circles, or posts from a specific circle. Now with this extension you can choose to display posts from more than one specific circles. For example, show posts from “colleagues”, “friends” and “following” only and leave “family” behind by checking and unchecking respective circles. This is a truly most-wanted feature of Google+

Replies and more for Google+: Reply to Specific User with +Mention

Sometimes you may want to reply to a specific user in a long thread of comments. Instead of manually typing in that guy’s name with a plus sign, you can use this Chrome extension. It adds the option to reply to the author of the original post, or specific user who left a comment.

It has some other features like making the top Google sandbar floating (stay on top), sharing to Twitter and Facebook, etc. but the most useful and eye-catching function is reply to author.

Tweetify for Google Plus

This Chrome extension turns posts in your stream Twitter-like by compressing them to not more than 140 characters, adding an icon indicating re-shared posts (like RT), marking user names as “+user” (like @user). This extension is “heavily experimental” (the developer said so). Why the hell should you install this? Only if you love Twitter a lot and used to Twitter’s way of presenting information. But to a certain extent, it purifies your stream, making it easier to read..

Native GMail for Google Plus
